Robocalls, overseas solicitation, and other device provide an easy and cost-effective ways to get customers and sometimes deceive them. While some may say that are on the Do Not Call List, few file claims. So bothering people at home has become an effective way of obtaining new business. The federal TCPA law provides for compensation.

Alpha Gas Settlement 

Alpha Gas and Electric LLC has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it made telemarketing calls to cell phones in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. If you received a call on your cell phone from Alpha Gas and you did not provide consent to receive calls from the company, you may be entitled to payment from the TCPA class action settlement. There are other pending settlements.
